Success in the Salesforce Implementation Project Lead role means being a champion of supporting project execution for the customer and Buzzbold during the entire customer journey.  This remote position is highly collaborative, working both internally with products, implementation, account management and externally with partners and clients.

This is an invaluable position with varied tasks and responsibilities. A day in the life may include:

  • Consult directly with clients via video or email on their timelines and project statuses
  • Develop clear project plans, budgets, & timelines for future projects pre-kickoff
  • Escalate project risks or issues appropriately to leadership 
  • Lead internal and external project planning and kickoff
  • Facilitate regular project team meetings with clients
  • Record demos and help create leave-behind training materials post-project
  • Manage resources within and between projects to make the best use of project hours
  • Manage time to allow for hands-on Salesforce development and implementation 
  • Remain informed on new technologies, methodologies, and tools relevant to nonprofits and NGOs
  • Consistent communications and reporting to the Director of Operations on Project Statuses


  • Participate in or lead strategic initiatives with Buzzbold in the interest of advancing our mission and the missions of nonprofit organizations, including cross-organizational efforts that may bring systemic approaches to increased impact and collaboration.
  • Present solution options to customers, evaluating the pros and cons of declarative configuration against code and customization through direct communications with the customer.
  • Publish and review reports of completed customer work, next steps, blockages, and customer learning opportunities in preparation for customer delivery each month.
  • Implement projects within and across clients' businesses; deliver quantifiable improvements and financial benefits using agile-based work processes.
  • Design and participate in comprehensive end-user acceptance planning and testing.
  • Identify gaps and capabilities for emerging needs for customers and work with the team to secure resources.
  • Build components of a Salesforce system to support Buzzbold business processes; evaluate and implement additional system integrations as requested.
  • Formally document client business needs and technical solutions through Statements of Work and Solutions Mapping.
  • Research and evaluate third-party solutions as required to complete project requirements from the Statement of Work and coordinate licensing, installation, and integration both technically and in aligning stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with project team members to assign work for configuring and building according to Statements of Work and User Stories.
  • Independently and collaboratively develop analytical tools to support customer reporting, monitoring, and decision-making needs.
  • Identify customer sharing and visibility needs, ensuring a secure environment for customer solutions through active monitoring of support cases.
  • Troubleshoot and fix reported bugs as reported by customers or through internal testing and maintenance.
  • Address escalated client issues with speed and urgency, evaluating, and ensuring the resolution of cases for assigned projects and customers.
  • Perform system administration, configuration, and support for Salesforce.
  • Hold the position of both a student and a teacher of changing Salesforce technologies and stay up to date on new Salesforce features to provide recommendations for process improvements and future integrations by meeting quarterly professional development goals and reviewing Salesforce release notes.
  • Be a champion for the use of technology to drive nonprofit effectiveness, developing domain expertise with our products and the products of our partners. 
  • Maintain and earn professional credentials, as well as complete educational/training assignments through Trailhead, conferences, or pursuing navigator specialties in Partner Learning Camp.
  • Track billable time in our timekeeping system with detailed, customer-facing annotations, ensuring reported work conveys value to be submitted at the end of the day on Fridays.
  • Participate in team culture and community stewardship activities, including connecting with nonprofit organizations for official volunteering events.
  • Implement customer-facing training solutions in collaboration with the team to ensure full adoption and maximum impact of completed projects.
  • Represent Buzzbold in manners aligned with our core values of trust, inclusion, and growth.

Required Experience & Skills

Credentials: Salesforce Certified Administrator

  • 2+ years Salesforce or comparable implementation experience 
  • Nonprofit work or consultant experience
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Moderate ability to demonstrate initiative and accountability
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to conduct thorough trainings with learning objectives
  • Working-level knowledge of business-related software applications and services
  • Write and communicate concisely reflective of Buzzbold’s value, voice, and tone
  • Ability to promote process improvement
  • Ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, flows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity.
  • Familiarity with Apex, Salesforce API, SOQL (Salesforce Object Query Language)
  • On-brand communications and engagement: Responding to customer cases with a sense of urgency and in the Salesforce Partner Community.
  • Keep up to date on completing training modules as they are released and relevant to your role.
  • Google Workspace and proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, Presentations and other online collaboration tools, including Calendly, Slack, Harvest

  • Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud Consultant*
  • Cumulus CI Experience
